What is Business on the Hills?
Business on the Hills: Develop. Innovate. Market. is the biggest innovation conference in Plovdiv, taking place from 9 to 11 September. The event will bring together more than 250 entrepreneurs, engineers, marketing managers and developers from all over the world.
Why innovation?
Innovation is one of the hottest topics in entrepreneurship today. Against the fast-moving backdrop of the digital world, it is the only way for a business to stand out from its competitors and stay on a successful path. It is no longer enough for a business to follow new trends; it has to be a catalyst for ideas that create new needs and meet them effectively. The need for an innovation conference was also confirmed by the survey we sent to people in Plovdiv.
What can you expect from the programme?
For our team at JCI Plovdiv it is a great privilege to host this year's national convention of JCI Bulgaria, which runs alongside Business on the Hills. It is also a big challenge, since an event like this is taking place in the city for the first time. The conference will be held entirely in English because of its multicultural nature and the many international guests. As the highlight of the event, we have invited fascinating international speakers who will share as much of their knowledge and experience as they can:
- Filipe Carrera (Portugal), speaker and author of many books: Networking for personal and professional success. An inspiring author of many books on digital marketing and networking.
- Paolo Ruggeri (Italy), OSM International Group: International business development and new markets expansion. A motivating business speaker from whom I have taken many useful ideas and tips on successful management.
- Simon Bucknall (UK), international speaker: The Red Hot Elevator Pitch. Someone who can really help us present ourselves to investors and potential clients.
- Elan Oren (Israel), LeanWay and Appforma: Guiding your start-up through dramatic market changes, the story of iMesh. One of the people behind peer-to-peer technology. Elan will certainly have a lot to tell us about innovation.
- Georgi Parvanov, The C-Team: How to build, inspire and motivate a successful team. A very successful and down-to-earth person who sold his business for millions. There is a lot to learn from his experience.
- Sasha Bezuhanova (Bulgaria), HP Bulgaria: Innovations, a step closer to a new world. Founder of Move.bg and a social entrepreneur with extensive international experience.
Besides the impressive speaker line-up, entrepreneurs from more than 20 countries will be there, a great chance to make useful contacts and share experience. All participants can get to know each other and exchange knowledge at the networking party on Friday and the formal gala dinner on Saturday. For fans of more creative tourism, the programme also includes a Treasure Hunt Plovdiv Tour and a wine tasting in Starosel.
