Creating Tendrik Academy: a dream come true
I am happy to introduce the newest project my team at Tendrik and I are about to launch. Tendrik Academy is the result of long planning and waiting for the right moment, and it will be the first step towards a better-educated society. Most people feel that all the important events happen in Sofia, but I see it very differently. Varna was named European Youth Capital for 2017, Burgas has been called the best city to live in many times, and these two examples are far from the only parts of the country that have come back to life in recent years. Plovdiv is no exception. The city of the seven hills has always had a special charm, and it is becoming more visible than ever thanks to its many festivals, dozens of conferences and the fact that it has become a leading industrial and outsourcing centre. And yes, one of the many gems of our ancient yet eternal Plovdiv is the title "European Capital of Culture 2019". The city is waking up from a long sleep and life in it is in full swing. Every field is emerging or growing stronger and more united. That is why my team and I decided to add our own contribution to these positive changes.
Since the company was founded, Tendrik's vision has been "to give young people with great potential the chance to grow". That is why the Academy aims to give you a solid foundation to build on, and to share many years of experience and knowledge in IT and the digital world, so you can reach your full potential. Besides internships, the Academy will offer fully practical courses, taught only by specialists from the industry. This is how we want to stand apart from the many online courses and set a new standard for training outside the capital.
We start with the one-month practical course "First steps in e-commerce". The course lays a solid foundation for building a successful, thriving online business. We will cover the most important moments in creating and growing it, along with the key concepts, features and modules. We will go into the different sides of e-commerce, digital marketing and doing business online. It suits people who are just starting out online, online store owners and specialists in this constantly changing industry.
The course will be taught by me and Ivan Abadzhiev (CTO of Tendrik). After years in the field, many projects and running successful online stores of our own, we believe we have the knowledge to pass on. It runs from 8 November to 6 December 2016.

Business: 8 November 2016 (Tuesday)
Building a concept and business model and researching the competition. Buying a domain (name) and creating a logo.
Installing OpenCart on a host and locally: 10 November 2016 (Thursday)
Configuring the main settings and adding the core features, categories, attributes and options.
Design and user interface: 15 November 2016 (Tuesday)
User interface and user experience. Website design (responsive or mobile version), images and navigation.
OpenCart modules: 17 November 2016 (Thursday)
Installing various OpenCart modules. Adding Google Analytics, Google Search Console, a sitemap, Zopim Chat and others. Finalising the layout.
Information and legal matters: 22 November 2016 (Tuesday)
Legal questions and registering a company. Creating information pages. Working with courier companies.
Customers and products: 24 November 2016 (Thursday)
Adding customer and product groups. Adding information pages.
SEO and online advertising: 29 November 2016 (Tuesday)
On-page SEO, off-page SEO, Facebook Ads and Google Ads.
Payment and delivery methods: 1 December 2016 (Thursday)
Adding payment methods and delivery options based on different criteria.
Marketing and winning real customers: 6 December 2016 (Tuesday)
The most important things to know about content creation, social media and digital marketing, and email marketing. Practical steps to apply after the course.
By the end of the course, everyone who signed up and attended will have their own working online store, ready to grow into a successful online business.
The price if you sign up by the end of October is BGN 249. After that, you can sign up until the course starts for BGN 299.
